Recently we attended a wedding in Enterprise and the rehearsal dinner was at Frogz. The owners were very hospitable and although we filled their dinning room to capacity, all 65 of us, the food came out hot and delicious! Jim Neidert Central Wisconsin

Since I was in the general area for business, we were told that Frogz was the place to go for great food and great atmosphere. Well both were OK, but just that. The food had a good kick to it, but it seemed like all the dishes had a similar flavor. I got the chicken parm and my friend got the bang bang shrimp. They tasted eerily similar. Again, not bad, but the spice was the same for both. The service was actually really good and our waiter as especially friendly I think we missed the atmosphere piece since we ate inside and didn't get to enjoy the outside ambiance. For the area, I would say its OK, but not sure the prices are worth it. This place is a bit off the beaten path, and kind of hard to find if you don't have a GPS at night, but who doesn't have one of those :) I would probably come back in the spring to sit outside and have a few drinks and appetizers only.

a nice place off the beaten path. This isn't a bad place to eat. the food is good (not great). I think thier prices are a bit high for the quality. I like thier bang bang shrimp which is a pretty good replica of BoneFish Grill's verison. The staff is very friendly and the food came fast. in all, i would eat here again. But while the food is easy to swallow, the prices are not.

This place was great. Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. The menu has a good choice of seafood and steak. The steaks are cut thick and to order. My steak was a perfect medium. The mussel appetizer is very good and plentiful. If you are a WO tech or pilot, you got to support this place. Hip fun place with a friendly southern charm. It's off the main road but worth the trip.

Tried this place on a date night with the husband. We were very pleased. Very nice chill atmosphere on the patio and the gentleman singing was awesome. Good was pretty good, husbands steak was a little over done but was still delish. Also pretty cool that dogs are allowed on the patio. We will definitely be back.

It's a nice atmosphere. It's in BFE. it is pricey and the food didn't really excite my tastebuds. Nice place for a date. Low key. Service was excellent. Might wanna take a credit card in.

Perfect date night restaurant. Price is reasonable for the large portion size. Decor seemed mardi gras-ish. The attention to detail blew us away.... fresh flowers at every table, very clean, and the sauces and good are made in house. Staff was amazing and we were greeted by the owner who was so nice! His words were " I hope you guys love this restaurant as much as I do" it's nice to see business owners who actually take pride in their establishment and treat guests like old fiends. I could go on all day about how amazing this place is but, you really need to experience it for yourself. - The chocolate hazelnut creme brulee is the best I've ever had. (We even shared desserts with the guys next to us) they had key-lime pie with a shortbread crust, wow!

Love the food! It was all tasty and full of flavor. I had the mahi mahi, fried oysters, sauteed gator, salad with mangos and other fruits, plus muscato. Plus the service was outrageously great. Thanks to Fred and Jamz!

We loved this place, a great escape for the ft. Rucker area. The owner and staff put a lot of effort in ensuring your experience is amazing. Check it out and get the tuna app.

If people would actually rate this place as it should be rated, it would have 4 stars (hence the courtesy start on my part). Food is excellent, reasonable prices, and the ambiance is nice. What more could you ask for in Southern Alabama? Its light years ahead of 99% of the restaurants around Enterprise, but that's not to say that it couldn't compete with a restaurant in a larger city - it definitely could.

Looking for awesome seafood and steaks? This is the place to go. Oh and the creme brûlée is to die for!!! Go and often as we can. Everyone on the staff is friendly and helpful. They all enjoy what they do, and you can tell.

The atmosphere is very nice and family friendly! I was very impressed with how pristinely clean everything was. Normally when you come across a restaurant with their walls covered in pictures and decor they generally have a fine layer of dust, which is not what you want to see while eating. Everything here is immaculately taken care of! Staff is very friendly and food was very good. My husband ordered the rib eye and it was a little gristly for his taste but my catch of the day was amazing, the champagne reduction sauce served over the fish was the perfect accompaniment and didn't over power the delicate flavor of the fish, but just added to it and the wasabi mashed potatoes and brusel sprouts are to die for! We split a hazelnut creme brûlée, which was ok. The whole thing was drizzled in chocolate sauce, which overpowered the dish. Our waitress was very nice, but was definitely having an off night! She brought my husbands meal out without the blue cheese sauce, which wasn't a big deal, but didn't bring it for a good ten minutes and by that time we were well into our meal. She then told us she'd take the sauce off our ticket, but then decided to leave it on and give us free dessert, which was also incredibly nice of her, but when we received our ticket she had accidentally combined our meal with another tables, she explained that they had cashed out so that we just had to pay the remainder, and that wouldn't of been a big deal either, but they had a table of six and we had to pay tax on both orders. She was very apologetic, but I wasn't sure why she couldn't void the other tables order and just have our check. Once again though she was very sweet and apologetic so We can't hold anything against her I highly recommend this place, prices are a little high, but the food is epic!!!

Used Yelp to find nice place to eat. I had the grilled salmon. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was very charming. I would definitely eat there again. Linda C

Frogz is my kind of place. Cool, unique, and kind of out of the way. They have an outdoor eating area surrounded by bamboo screening giving you just enough view through to see some of the area around but not so much so that you feel as if you are exposed to the passing traffic. I was seating quickly and hadn't even received my drink before the manager was by to thank me for dining with them (Kudos). The waitress was polite, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. My wine arrived quickly and was a nice pour. The wine menu isn't extensive but does contain a little something for everybody. They have bottled and draft beer as well but no local beer (tisk tisk). I think the bread was commercial purchased but the house made herb butter more than made up for it. I had the Rib Eye, w/ twice baked potato and veggie melody. The steak was cooked to perfection. They actually know what medium rare is! It had some seasoning on it, which I usually decline, but I have to admit it was very good. Much better than the "famous" steak places in the area (see my other reviews). I'm more of a regular baked potato guy but, again, I'll have to admit that their twice baked was great. They even had sea salt and fresh crushed black pepper to accent the food. All I can say is BRAVO Frogz. You exceeded my expectations. BTW...for those that dis the prices. This is grown up food with grown up prices. Want cheap food...go to a chain. Want really good local food, come here.

Okay, I've heard great things about this place and was really hoping it lived up to those...but, alas, it did not. We went for a friend's birthday and I will start by saying that staff was very nice, helpful and pretty on top of it. Our appetizers came out super fast, so fast that you just know they weren't fresh. They tasted okay but nothing I couldn't buy in the freezer section and microwave at home. I ordered the Alaskan salmon and my fiance ordered the seared tuna. My salmon was overcooked, and I like very cooked salmon but, it was beyond dry and chewy. It also tasted more like chicken than salmon. Every meal comes with the exact same sides, mashed potatoes and a veggie. Our veggie was garlic green beans which were actually okay. My fiance loved the mashed potatoes, but I couldn't bring myself to eat them since they were made with wasabi. Also, I could tell by looking at them that they were over-beaten to the point of being glue-like. As mentioned by other reviewers, this place is overpriced for the area and quality of food. My salmon was $20 and the portions weren't reflective of that. For that price at our favorite sushi/hibachi place here in Enterprise you can get Filet Mignon, fried rice, veggies, salad, soup and dessert; all huge portions. I will say that everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals, but coming from California I can say without hesitation the frozen stuff they pawn off as fresh seafood just isn't. We won't be going back, nor recommending this place to anyone.

A little culinary oasis in the enterprise area. This place was really good (and not just relative to the rest of the mediocre restaurants around). The dishes were thoughtful, creative and well prepared. A home made honey-lime vinagrette on the fresh citrus salad was a refreshing, unexepcted and delish surprise after the boring, half dead bagged salads you get at pretty much every other place Ive been here. The bread was warm, fresh and the herbed butter was yummm. After the tomato mozzerella appetizer (the mozzarella was a little dried out but the heirloom tomatoes and balsamic were fab) we hardly had room for our entrees. All in all the food was great, the management was great, service staff was pretty good. Still five stars...but since it was really good I am going to be really critical about it . We waited quite a bit for our check. The uniforms/ cheap menus and some of the tacky decorations kind of cheapened the integrity of the food/price point. They were also out of alligator which I was looking forward to trying. I think it would also be cool if they offered more variety in the sides - it seemed that every entree was paired with the same two sides. I get that it cuts costs and all but I'm also not dying to go back and try something different since I think I had about 4/5 of the flavor combinations they offered. Bonus: outdoor deck with tiki torches. Bummer: New Brockton is a dry town...ixnay on the ineway.

Frogz definitely has the best seafood in the Enterprise area. Nevermind that there isnt much competition for good seafood in Enterprise. The fried gator is tasty and all the entrees I have had are delicious. It is definitely worth the drive to New Brockton to eat here. The manager always stops by your table to see how your meal was. This is the kind of place my wife and I take visitors from out of town.

Expensive...good food but pricey. We had reservations but still waited about 20 minutes for our table?? No bar either.

This is a tough review to write and I feel a little bad about only giving them 3 stars but I'll break it down: Food: 3.0; bottom line up front; I gave this establishment 3 stars overall because the food wasn't great. Due to the price ($50 for myself), I can't rate this establishment on an "Alabama" scale. Right off the top, there is no fresh fish at this establishment. I'm not sure about the beef or chicken, as the restaurant is billed as a seafood place, but everything on the menu had been previously frozen. I should also mention that I was seriously disappointed that they did not have any alligator or grouper. Let me start off with my appetizer, the crab cake, as it was indicative of all the food that was to come. The crab had been previously frozen and it tasted like it. The chef did a good job cooking it, but he had nothing to work with. There was no flavor. It looked wonderful, but the quality of the crab was quite poor. Next came the salad. The salad was inventive and probably the best part of the meal. It contained an interesting array of fruits and vegetables. That being said, the pineapple tasted canned. The citrus vinaigrette on the salad was too thick and too much. There was probably a quarter inch of vinaigrette at the bottom of the salad when I finished it. Next came the entree of "sushi grade yellow fin tuna." The tuna was previously frozen, tasted like it and was over-salted. There was just no flavor to the fish at all. The wasabi mashed potatoes were good, but if the fish had any flavor, the wasabi would have muddled the dish as a whole. The seasonal vegetables were uninspired and were basically flavorless. They tasted like they were purchased from Walmart. The last dish was my creme brulee and it was probably the most disappointing because it could have been really good. It was one of two desserts made on the premises and therefore should have been really good. The presentation was quite nice but it had obviously been sitting in a fridge for hours. The spoon, plate and creme were all ice cold. I don't mind if they make the creme earlier in the day, but it's not that hard to do the final touches just prior to serving. It would make it much better. Lastly, the bread was also basically flavorless. They should be serving sourdough with seafood but instead it was a weak sweet roll. Service: 4.5; the server was excellent. He knew where his food came from and was able to speak about it with authority. He also didn't lie to me and tell me that everything was fresh. When asked, he told me where everything was from. If he had lied to me, my rating would have been far worse. Food Presentation: 4.5; every dish looked wonderful. I was very happy with the presentation. They gave me 2 forks but I needed one more. The first fork went with the appetizer (which came before the salad) and then I had to use my entree fork for the salad and entree. If you're going to place multiple utensils, place the proper number. Ambiance: 4.0; it's a comfortable atmosphere where you can feel good wearing board shorts and a t-shirt or a shirt, tie and slacks. Price: 1.5; for the price of this meal I could have eaten at any number of 5 star restaurants. I know that they're in the middle of nowhere so that ups the costs some, but if they aren't making a huge amount of money off each dish, they are getting scammed by their suppliers. The food quality is just not that good.
